Data Architect
Cardinal Solutions is currently looking for a Data Architect to join our growing team. The associate will be responsible for leading full life cycle projects and highly visible consulting assignments. Responsibilities also include providing technical and professional guidance to consultants in lower level roles and developing the capabilities of the Data Solutions practice.
Requirements
* 7+ years of IT experience
* 5+ years experience with data warehousing environments and the development of DW architecture
* 3+ years of data modeling experience with solid understanding of modeling concepts and techniques
* 3+ years of experience with Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy, Oracle, Microsoft, or other reporting and analytics tool
* 3+ years of experience with Informatica, Data Stage, Ab Initio, Data Integrator, or other ETL tool
* 3+ years of experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, or DB2 UDB
* 2+ years of experience leading and/or managing development teams and maintaining technical project plans
* Experience in large enterprise IT environments and production support
* Experience with very large databases and performance issues related to modeling techniques and overall database architecture
* Excellent data analysis skills
* Excellent testing skills
* Experience with meta-data driven applications and associated issues
* Experience defining business requirements
* Ability to work with both business and technical teams aligning business needs with technical efficiencies
* Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
* Ability to articulate, influence and enforce best practices
* Ability to educate others on architecture strategies
* Strong presentation skills
