Senior Business Analyst

Cardinal Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Project Services Practice. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for working with client users and customers to gather user and business requirements, direct business modeling and use case analysis, and write use case documentation. This professional will focus on understanding the clients’ business needs and how our solutions meet their needs. The Senior Business Analyst will assist in proposal writing and project leadership; drive the analysis, design, and development of the clients’ solution; write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to deploy the clients business solution; plan for and conduct testing to ensure our recommended solution meets the business needs; and work closely with Cardinal's management team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working as a subject matter expert.
• Strong full life cycle software application development background is required.
• Experience working as a liaison between Business Units and IT.
• Experience leading small to medium projects.
• Ten years of IT experience.
• Experience with various technologies (e.g. web and mainframe/mid frame systems).
• Experience with logical data modeling.
• Experience with workflow modeling.
• Experience performing use case analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.
• Candidates must have extensive experience in facilitating client meetings and conducting detailed interviews to solicit user requirements.
• Commitment to customer service.

Desired Skills:

• Strong knowledge of the Rational Unified Process.
• Experience with Financial applications.
• Experience with brokerage and investment systems.
• Experience with tools: ERwin, Rational and Visio.
• Project management certifications (e.g. PMP).
• CMM or Six Sigma experience or certifications.
• Hands on experience with FileNET, Crystal Reports, Business Objects or Actuate.
