BusinessObjects XI: Implementing Business Views

This two-day instructor-led classroom course introduces you to Business Views in BusinessObjectsTM XI. Through hands-on activities and instructor demonstration, you will be able to define Business Views and the components that make up a Business View. The business benefit of the course is that you will be able to modify and create Business Views based on your organization’s data requirements. You will then be able to use these Business Views to obtain the data you need in an easily understood format and create reports that deliver effective business intelligence to your organization.

Who should attend?
The target audience for this course is Data Managers who are responsible for creating and maintaining Business Views. Depending on the organization, Data Managers may be represented by Database Administrators or Business Analysts.

After completing the course, learners will be able to:

  • Define the Business Views architecture
  • Use Business Views
  • Create and modify Data Foundations and Data Connections
  • Create and modify Business Views and Business Elements
  • Plan and design Business Views
  • Create lists of values and dynamic prompts.

Prerequisites
To be successful, learners who attend this course must have working knowledge of BusinessObjects, Enterprise security concepts, BusinessObjects Enterprise InfoView, Crystal Reports and core report design concepts, and NT enterprise security concepts (global & local groups and directory structure)
