Agile Coach

We are looking for experienced and passionate Agile Coaches who are skilled in helping multiple teams and their organizations improve agility through the application of various frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Nexus, and SAFe. In this role you will be responsible for providing effective facilitation, leadership, and coaching to support an organization and its self-organizing teams and their delivery of successful, high quality, valuable, integrated software solutions.

What Our Agile Coaches Do

  • Help teams apply the Scrum Framework and principles of agility to the benefit of the team and organization
  • Support multiple Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Development Teams in understanding and enacting their roles
  • Embody agility using a servant leadership approach and leading by example
  • Educate and coach executives, managers, stakeholders, and others throughout the organization regarding Agile practices and how their roles and interactions may change
  • Help teams and teams-of-teams (programs/trains) continuously improve their interactions, practices, and process through valuable inspect and adapt practices
  • Help teams improve with facilitated conversations, metrics, feedback loops, and information radiators
  • Coach the Development Teams and teams-of-teams in self-organization, continuous improvement, cross-functionality, risk identification, dependency management, conflict resolution, and software craftsmanship
  • Remove organization impediments that are preventing teams from accomplishing their goals
  • Facilitate events and activities as necessary and ensure teams and the organization are realizing value from them

What We Look For

  • Experience as a Scrum Master and/or coach for software development teams in variety of contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of the Scrum Framework and principles of agility
  • Holds Scrum and other Agile certifications
  • Knowledge and experience with multiple Agile frameworks and patterns (Scrum, XP, Kanban, Nexus, SAFe, etc.)
  • Conceptual knowledge of a variety of practices that support agility (CI, automated deployments, TDD, ATDD, story mapping, Agile learning games, etc.)
  • Track record of continuous learning regarding Agile, Scrum, Lean, coaching, facilitating, emotional intelligence, team dynamics, listening, etc.
  • Deep understanding of all software lifecycle development disciplines - Project Management, Requirements Management, Analysis & Design, Quality Assurance & Testing, Implementation, Deployment, Configuration & Change Management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience presenting, teaching, mentoring, and facilitating
  • Experience communicating and removing impediments across an organization
  • Knowledge and experience with cultural and organization change
  • Proven leadership skills, specifically leading by example (servant leader)
